Rector
The Reverend Dr. Marti Dalby A native of Arkansas, Marti grew up in Hot Springs and had a previous career as a certified public accountant. She received her Master of Divinity from the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 2006. Marti is married to Robert. They have two daughters, a son-in-law and a grandson. Marti began her ordained ministry as curate at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Fort Smith and later became priest associate. She was the vicar of St. Francis from 2009 - 2025, when in February she became our rector. She was chaplain for the Arkansas ECW Board for several years and has been involved with Cursillo, Camp Mitchell summer camps and board, Summer Quest Women’s Retreat, the Diocesan Board of Trustees, and the Diocesan Executive Council. She is currently a trustee for The University of the South in Sewanee where she graduated in May 2019 with a second degree, a Doctor of Ministry in Liturgy through the Advanced Degree Program at the School of Theology. Marti also is an instructor for the Iona School in our diocese, which trains those locally seeking ordination. She has been an EfM mentor since 2009.
